TAČR project TL02000312 of applied social science and humanities research, experimental development and innovation ÉTA "Localization and implementation of RailTopoModel methodology and markup language railML version 3 in terms of the spatial description of railways in the Czech Republic with regard to the application of the BIM methodology."
The project TL02000312 was solved at KPM CONSULT a.s. in the years 2018 – 2021 in cooperation with specialists:
- RailML consortium led by Paul Vasco Kolmorgen
- Railway Administration, in particular the Railway Geodesy Administration sector
- ČD Informační systémy, workplace Brno
- TKP Geo, workplace Brno
Its main outputs are:
- Translation of the UIC IRS30100 methodology into Czech, and on this basis the proposed methodologies of its application in the Czech Republic
- Methodology of RailTopoModel, railML v.3 and IFC Rail technologies application in relation to BIM construction design procedures within the Transport Department and its explanatory report (RML-11) certifikována MD 22.12.2021
- Methodology of using RailTopoModel v.1.1, railML v.3.2 and IFC Rail procedures within the use of BIM projects for railway construction in the Czech Republic (RML-8)
- Methodology of application of UIC IRS30100 (RailTopoModel v.1.1), railML v.3.2 and IFC Rail utilization procedures taking into account the data standards of BIM projects processed by State Fund for Transport Infrastructure (SFDI) within the IS of the Railway Administration (SŽ) (RML-9)
- English-Czech and Czech-English explanatory dictionary for RailTopoModel, railML and IFC Rail methodologies (RML-10)
As part of the solution, preparatory working studies were further elaborated:
- RML-1 Ontology of the description of the railway network of the Czech Republic "Basic Thesis of a Possible Design With Regard to the Needs of the BIM Method and the Possibilities of the RailML Interface", Brno, April 2019 The content of the study is further used, among other things, to solve the design of the ontological dictionary of railway tracks for the purposes of the DTM and DTMŽ projects.

- Localization of internationally standardized methods of spatial description of railway lines into the conditions of SŽ with regard to the needs of the BIM construction design methodology - internal videoconference of SŽ, 30.03.2021 – presentation
- Methodology for the use of railML format in IS SŽ, Solution designs – groundwork for use case TRGE
- Concept of the description of the railway network from the perspective of the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic – presentation from a joint event that took place on 26.10.2021 and was organized together with the National Technology Platform for Interoperability of Railway Infrastructure (NTP IZI) – presentation
