Analysis of operations of KORDIS JMK – proposal of optimization measures within the organizational structure and procedural bonds with the South-Moravian Region and other subjects related to ensuring the South-Moravian Integrated Public Transport System (neighbouring regions, cities, urban districts, carriers).
Comparison of respective regions in terms of ensuring transport services in parameters: quality of transport services (number of connections to urban areas at weekdays, on Saturdays and Sundays), costs of ensuring the transport services, optimization of transport solution (elimination of parallel service, number of transfers), number of transported passengers, revenues, expenses of the budget; Analysis of the current situation within the South-Moravian Integrated Public Transport System, in terms of analyzing the efficiency of relevant lines, or rather links and the efficiency of the management of the whole system, i.e. their economy and organization; Draft optimization of the South-Moravian Integrated Public Transport System while maintaining the necessary transport services of the region with the objective to save financial means and to evaluate risks and potential primary transformation costs of the proposed measures.

STUDY THE POSSIBILITY OF USING PUBLIC URBAN AND LINE BUS TRANSPORT COMMON STATIONS IN THE LIBEREC CITY TERRITORY, POSSIBILITIES OF THE UNIFORM SYSTEM OF PASSENGER CHECKING-IN APPLICATION IN THE LIBEREC CITY TERRITORY BY IMPLEMENTING THE IDS IN THE ENTIRE REGION

The stations for common use were recommended on the basis of a detailed analysis of passenger movement in public transport means in the city territory. On the basis of the existing state analysis in the field of the passenger checking-in it was possible to formulate recommendations of a uniform manner of the passenger checking-in in the IDS means of the Liberec Region.

Assistance to further education in the area of telematics and transport telematics of the Olomouc Region

The objective of the project is to offer the latest knowledge and experience from the field of telematics (and transport telematics) to a higher level of education and at the same time to provide interlinking with the basic level of education. The project aims to create and to pilot-test educational modules for four different target groups. The first group is represented by the staff of state administration and municipal authorities in cities and urban areas of the Olomouc Region and the so-called user area – representatives of the Integrated Rescue System; the second – suppliers of telematics applications; the third – carriers within the public transport system of the Olomouc Region and the fourth – transport and shipping firms. The education module includes all the study support, didactic and exercise texts, professional literature etc. targeted at a specific group. The pilot testing will focus on specific case and economic studies from the environs of the Olomouc Region.

Subject of the contract is processing of methodology of sales cutting in the zone 71 Olomouc of the integrated transport system of the Olomouc region, implementation and evaluation of transport research on the transport routes of public transport and regular public transport, public transport modeling and transfer options between VLD and VLD and public transport and the creation of software tools for calculating the amounts of money to compensate revenues between carriers.

ALTERNATIVE IMPLEMENTARY PROJECT FOR THE ORGANIZER OF PUBLIC PASSENGER TRANSPORT IN THE OLOMOUCKÝ REGION

The subject of work is an alternative implementary project for the organizer of public passenger transport in the Olomoucký Region. The project is based on the material „Generel public passenger transport in the Olomoucký Region“ and deals with selected alternative options of legal and proprietary forms of the establishment of an independent public transport organizer in the Olomoucký Region. In relation to the complex of basic aspects of relevant legal and proprietary forms, a list of benefits has been put together – principal advantages and disadvantages of the respective form. This data base then produces a draft recommendation of the executor, elaborated on the scientific basis by means of progressive analysis tools.

LIFE EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE FIELD OF TELEMATICS, TELEINFORMATICS AND TRANSPORT TELEMATICS

Proposal for changes in syllabuses of all types of schools in the relation to telematics, research of the knowledge level relating to the sector of state administration, regional self-government, etc. Within the framework of the project, there were organised educational courses for target groups, published various textbooks and in the follow-up to the knowledge acquired, there are issued many book publications professionally focused on appropriate areas of transport telematics.

RAILWAY CROSSINGS IN THE TRANSPORT SYSTEM OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC

The project concerns comprehensive solution of grade crossing problems and its integration to the transport system. The project also takes into account specificities and limiting factors of a grade crossing into regional transport system which has significant influence on integration process of the ecological acceptable rail transport to the scope of sustainable territory service development and spreading integrated transport systems. The analytical part contains the comprehensive users’ analyses of ambient, legislation, proprietorial and organizational frameworks, but it also contains technical and technological possibilities of improving the safety on the grade crossing, namely using direct and indirect way. The suggestion part subsequently contains the suggestions of the rules of law modifications, which refer to the construction and operation of a grade crossing, the suggestions of technical and technological standards modifications for construction and operation of technical security systems.

NEW SOLUTIONS FOR IMPROVED FIRE SAFETY IN TUNNELS

One of the aims of the project is to propose and test, in a pilot manner, a new method of fire ventilation system tests in road tunnels, which does not devastate the air handling system technology and equipment of the tunnels, with minimum costs of tunnel cleaning after the test – a part of the project therefore deals with an analysis of stable extinguishing devices (sprinkler system) use, through evaluation of known solutions and through a proposal for a suitable system for the use in road tunnels

Vehicles safety increasing by a passengers and goods transport on the infrastructure critical points

The research and development project of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic is tackled within the programme BV II/2-VS of the main field Safety and Health Protection, man - machine. The project focuses on the issue of enhanced safety of vehicles during the transportation of passengers and freight on critical infrastructure spots, in particular at level crossings. The solution applies up-to-date means of transport telematics. The project also includes a full analysis of other aspects related to this issue. One of the outputs is also a pilot testing of the system in operation. The proposed solution can prevent unnecessary collisions of cars and trains at level crossings, thus markedly reducing the damage to human health and lives as well as all-society losses.

Creating an environment for the operation of advanced horizontal transhipment technology between road and rail transport

The current status of the modal split of work and freight transported volumes speaks clearly in favor of road transport. If the railroad does not prepare an acceptable competitive bid, the trend of "widening" disparities in the shear volume of individual transport will continue. The project objective is to prepare the environment (operational, organizational, legislative) for operation of advanced horizontal technologies with telematics support as a primary condition to revive rail freight.

Access to the solution is derived from individual levels of the future controlling of public transport in the area in question. A part of the study is to assess questions of project economy and proposals for manners of funding.

The utilization of the follow-up GNSS applications ensuring the safety in order to eliminate safety risks during the transportation of special shipments on various sections and types of the transport infrastructure and to reduce the level of human health risks. The objective of the project is to create a concept of the information system on the basis of the Global Navigation Satellite System for automatic monitoring of the transportation process of highly hazardous material, which in case of an accident or emergency situation provides the units of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS) with automatic information for fast, adequate and qualified action. In order to implement the objectives, frameworks for the organization, legislation, technical and test matters need to be projected and put together so that the information addressed to all the involved in the system contains accurate and timely warning data about the type, amount and characteristics of the special shipment (e.g. hazardous material), or about accidents and transport conditions. The emphasis will be put on the system attachment to the rescue and safety bodies of the state.

  • METHODOLOGY OF QUANTIFICATION AND EVALUATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY IMPACTS OF TRANSPORT

The project deals with the current need of transport engineering – the absence of professionally set metrics in the area of environment polluted by transport, which represents a noticeable handicap for the development of transport infrastructure and transport projects. The solution presents a methodology of reasonably exact quantification of transport processes externalities on defined railway sections for each individual car in real time. The obtained information will be used both in proposals for motivation and economic recourse of individual cars within the electronic toll system and for the evaluation of transport projects, especially in light of the impact on the environment and on the general safety of transport systems.
The responsible solver of the project is the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague and the co-solvers are – Technical University of Liberec and KPM CONSULT, a.s.

The project is a methodical instruction and SW solution application to set the optimal number of transport means to ensure the public service – basic transport services of the territory. The objective of the project is to define operational and economic indicators by their significance, mutual bonds and the true impact of the provided quality on total price for transportation outputs depending on the carrier, transport technology and traffic conditions. The proposed outcome allows fast, unbiased and comparable calculation of total operating expenses as a basis for the calculation of estimate indicators of proportionate loss by the type of the operated transport, local and climatic conditions, the type and age of the utilized transport technology, the real output, i.e. the number of passed km. The outcome also allows the comparison of the quality as proportion of the cost price to actual costs by the transport technology outputs, including subsequent estimate of total costs of the life cycle and proposed duration or the number of passed km, suitable for the operation termination of the respective technology. Furthermore, it allows to sophisticatedly define the number of transport technology items which are required for the implementation of transport services of the territory (region) in light of economic demands, the optimization of technology movement and the set-up of the model of economic and operating indicators and their mutual bond.
